My dear friend Merry shared this sage advice when I first started to quilt. It was enough to convince me that I could find time to quilt. Twenty years have passed and I am still quilting, sometimes one seam at a time, and others I take a whole decadent Saturday to sew just for me.
I learned to sew and quilt at home on my Singer sewing machine. Several sewing machines and a longarm later, I am still sewing and quilting. I like to quilt freehand (organically) to the benefit of family and friends. My sweet husband Shane loves every quilt I make!
I find joy in seeing the pieced quilts come to life with just the right edge to edge quilting patterns, l am in awe of how beautifully quilts transform into art with intricate custom quilting.
I have had a wonderful career as a nurse. I am an RN with a Master's degree in adult health nurisng I am delighted to be professionally longarm quilting at my home studio.
I keep busy at home with the family, our farm, and sewing every chance I get!
